The clock needs a real starting point
Two business days begins after an agreed kickoff and the required material—not the first casual email. Useful inputs include the audience, project goal, current brand or product, deliverables, existing content, category context, decision-maker, practical constraints and examples the team considers relevant.
What should exist after two days
The presentation should make one direction concrete enough to judge. For a website, that may mean the homepage hierarchy, a representative mobile section, typography, colour, image direction and an interaction principle. For an identity, it may mean the strategic idea, logo direction, type, colour, graphic language and a few honest applications.
The goal is not to fake completeness. It is to make the system's logic and character visible early enough to improve them.
What is definitely not finished
- Approved copy across every page
- Every responsive state and interaction
- Production-ready files and guidelines
- Accessibility and browser QA
- Development, integrations, analytics, and launch
- Final legal, compliance, or stakeholder approval
Calling all of that finished after two days is speed theatre. The early concept starts the important conversation sooner. It does not make the remaining work disappear.
Feedback should test the idea, not decorate it
Return to the agreed goal. Identify what feels strategically right or wrong, what the audience may misunderstand, which application exposes a weakness and which reaction is simply personal preference. Consolidate stakeholder feedback through one decision-maker where possible. Six contradictory opinions are not a revision round.
What happens after the concept
The selected direction is refined, extended across the agreed system, reviewed against content and constraints, prepared for production, and quality-checked. The final timeline depends on scope, feedback speed, integrations, and approval requirements.
Tempo's promise is initial concepts within two business days after agreed kickoff and complete inputs—not a finished website or identity within two days.
